Can I transfer a game purchase from one platform to another?

Short answer: Unfortunately, you can't.

Jackbox Games does not control the various stores and platforms where our games are sold, so purchases can’t be transferred between platforms. If you want to play the game on a different platform, you'll need to purchase it again on that platform's shop.

This also applies to transferring activated game purchases from one Steam account to another; games can not be moved from one account to another. Do note that because those game purchases are linked to your Steam account, you will have access to them from any compatible device where you are logged in to that same account. For example, if you've just gotten a new computer, you don’t need to repurchase the game; this isn’t considered a platform transfer, and your game will still be available in your Steam library.

Additionally, there is an exception to this rule:

• The Jackbox Party Pack 7 is the first title we've made available as a universal purchase on the Mac App Store. This means that buying the game once (through the Mac App Store) gives access across macOS, iPad, and Apple TV devices.

  Party Packs released after Pack 7, including Party Packs 8, 9, 10, and 11, as well as The Jackbox Party Starter and The Jackbox Naughty Pack, also support this universal purchase.
  
  For Party Packs 1 through 6, a separate purchase is still required for the macOS version via the Mac App Store.

• When purchasing older titles from the Mac App Store, the Apple TV (tvOS) version of our games can also be played on iPads (iOS), and vice versa. This includes The Jackbox Party Pack 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. More current titles are universal purchases as above.
